Orthopedic Service Line Lead
The Clinical Service Line lead is a key leadership position within the Perioperative division.
This leader assumes the responsibility of coordinating and articulating the objectives, policies, and procedures of Albany Medical Center, the Nursing Service, and Perioperative nursing into effective action.
The unit-based leader is involved in promoting positive patient outcomes, contributes to the effective management of the operating room, and
provides clinical support to staff.
Job Description
Actively participates in performance and quality initiatives.
Demonstrates effective teamwork with colleagues.
Contributes to the effective management of the operating room.
Ensures the provision of competent staffing and assignments for specialties.
Takes unit and administrative call coverage on off-shifts, weekends,holidays.
Facilitates the daily schedule with Anesthesia coordinator.
Oversee the daily efficiency and flow in the specialty rooms.
Conducts huddles and supports monthly staff meetings.
Monitors and enforces practice standards, policies, and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
BSN preferred or enrollment in program.
Current New York State licensure as Registered Nurse required.
Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of operating room experience.
Clinical competency as an OR nurse in both the scrub and circulating roles.
Performs with expertise in assigned specialty area.
Demonstrates leadership experience charge or resource role.
Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
